Sakura was walking home from school, it had been a good day. (They’re all
in 8th grade now.) She got an A on the math test.
"Thank you Syaoran!" she yelled to no one. Syaoran had helped her study for the test.
When Sakura walked in the door she saw her dad.
"Tadaima Otousan!" she said happily.
"Ahh, hello Sakura."
"What’s wrong Otou?" Sakura asked.
"Sakura, you’re doing well in school right? I mean, your English language class is going well ne?"
"Erm, yes daddy," Sakura replied slowly.
"Can you speak English on a, erm, conversational level and write and stuff?" asked Fujitaka.
"Erm, yes daddy."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes daddy, I passed the English test in school with an A."
"Oh, good."
"Daddy?"
"Yes Sakura?"
"Why are you asking me this?"
"Well Sakura, we’re moving. I got transferred to Sacramento, California," Fujitaka sighed.
"NANI?!"
"Calm down Sakura, You’ll make lost of new friends."
"HOE? What about Touya? He’s not taking English."
"Well, Touya has chosen to remain here and finish school. He’ll be staying
with Yukito. Then he’ll get a job here. He’ll come and visit us every so
often."
"NO!!!" Sakura was on the verge of tears.
"Sakura, please listen."
"NO! We’re leaving! Everything! We’re just leaving it all behind!!!"
Sakura sobbed.
Sakura ran out of the room. She locked her bedroom door and collapsed on her bed in a mess of tears. Kero flew over to try and help.
"What’s wrong Sakura?"
"We-we-we-we’re moving!!!"
"What’s wrong with that?"
"We’re moving to CALIFORNIA!!!"
"Oh," Kero looked a little worried. "Well, it won’t be that bad. . ."
"I’ll be leaving Touya and Yuki and Tomoyo and Chiharu and Rika and Naoko and everyone else and and-" Sakura was a heap of tears again.
"It’s okay Sakura. . ."
"No! It’s not okay! I’ll be leaving, I’ll be leaving Syaoran too!!!"
"Who cares about him?"
"I DO!!!"
"What about Yue?"
"Erm. . ."
"HA! I have superior intelligence!"
"KERO! Just tell me what to do!"
"Lay the four element cards out and say ‘Cards crafted by Clow, Create a new form for my loyal companion, Yue! the moon guardian!’ "
"Fine
‘Cards crafted by Clow,
Create a new form for my loyal companion,
Yue! the moon guardian!’ "
A bright light emitted from Sakura’s staff necklace, a doll (like yue in chibi form) appeared.
"WOW! It’s so cute!"
Sakura hugged the doll.
"STOP IT!!!"
"Who said that?" Sakura asked.
"ME! You’re squeezing me too tight!!!" Yue said. (We’ll call Yue in his false form chibi yue.)
"OH! Wow! Cool! What about Yukito though?"
"Ahem. Yukito is now a separate being from me," Chibi Yue said.
"Oh, can we do that for Syaoran too?’’ Sakura asked.
"NO."
"WAH!!!" T_T
"It’s okay Sakura!"
Chibi Yue and Kero tried to get Sakura to stop crying.
Next day at school. . .
"I’m very sorry to inform you that your classmate Sakura will be moving to
California as of tomorrow," said Mr. Terada.
A chorus of gasps, what's, and other surprised noises filled the room.
"Sakura-chan, you’re leaving?"
"But you’ve been our friend for so long!"
"How will it ever be the same without you?"
"California is so far away!"
"Sakura-chaaaaaaaan! Why didn’t you tell us sooner!"
"Yeah, we could have organized a party!"
"We’ll miss you soo much Sakura!"
"Why so sudden?"
"WAI!!!" Tomoyo leaned on Sakura and cried.
Syaoran sat very still, the shock of the moment just settling in. She was leaving him. She was moving away. He might never see her again.
Correction, he would never see her again.
‘Sakura is moving. How can this happen to me?! I love her and I can’t tell her and she’s leaving tomorrow and aww man!’
"Quiet please!" said Mr. Terada. "Sakura, do you have anything to say to the class?"
"Erm, yes Mr. Terada. I do," Sakura quietly got up from her seat and walked to the front of the classroom.
"I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner, my dad only told me yesterday. I’m really going to miss you all. You all mean so much to me. I hope we can see each other again someday after today. I hope you all know what a great bunch of friends you’ve been. thank you," Sakura sighed. ‘and I love you
Syaoran.’ she thought.
Sakura walked slowly to her seat. She was fighting tears.
"It’s okay Sakura," Tomoyo reassured her.
"Sakura-" Syaoran started.
"Now, turn to page 346 in your math book, today we will be starting chapter
12," said Mr. Terada.
"Never mind."
‘Li-kun. . .’
time passes...
"I can’t believe you’re leaving us tomorrow Sakura!!!" whined Tomoyo.
"Yeah, it sucks," Sakura sighed.
"Sakura," said a voice behind her.
Sakura turned around. Standing a few yards behind was a handsome young mad with messy brown hair and cold amber eyes. Syaoran.
"What is it Syaoran?" Sakura asked.
"I-" he held out a few ofudas. "For you," he said gruffly.
"For-me?" Sakura asked, cocking her head slightly, not understanding.
"Goodbye present," he mumbled.
"Syaoran, I-" Sakura began. Her hands trembled.
"So you won’t forget me," he said blushing.
"Arigatou Syaoran!" Sakura exclaimed, hugging him.
Syaoran blushed even more. "Doitashimashite, Sakura-chan."
"Syaoran-kun, I- will miss you a lot," Sakura sighed. ‘Why can’t I just say it?! I love him!!! Why?!’
"I- will miss you too Sakura," Syaoran replied. ‘WHYWHYWHYWHYWHY!!! WHY can’t I say it?!’
"Syaoran, there’s no school tomorrow, wanna come and see Sakura off with me?" asked Tomoyo.
"Umm, no thank you Tomoyo-chan, I have stuff to do tomorrow, I’m sorry
Sakura-chan," Syaoran bowed and turned to walk home.
"WAIT!"
"Nani?" Syaoran turned around.
"Syaoran, here!" Sakura handed him THE RETURN card. "So you can always return to the happy times we were together."
"But Sakura! You’re the card mistress, only you can use the cards," Syaoran stuttered.
"Yes, true, but when you hold the card you can remember the great times we had together," Sakura smiled.
"Okay," Syaoran replied, smiling as well.
"And for Tomoyo-chan! THE VOICE card, because your voice is soooooooo beautiful and to remind you of all the fun we had capturing cards," Sakrua handed Tomoyo the card.
"Thank you Sakura-chan," Tomoyo said.
Sakura hugged Tomoyo and Syaoran. "Thanks for being the best friends I ever had."
"I have a gift for you too Sakura-chan, but it’s at my house, It’s all the costumes I ever made for you!!!" Tomoyo smiled.
"Wow, you still have then _ALL_?" Sakura asked.
"Yup! Every single one!" Tomoyo beamed.
"Thanks Tomoyo!" Sakura cried, hugging her friend.
"I wanna get a picture of us all together!" Tomoyo shouted.
"AHHH, okay," said Sakura.
"What the heck, this is the last time we’ll be all together, let’s do it!"
Syaoran shouted.
"OKAY! When the camera flashes with the red light, smile and don’t stop until the camera flashes white," Tomoyo instructed.
"Okay."
"Now for our poses."
"Tomoyo!"
"Come on Sakura! I need you to release THE CREATE and THE FLY and tell
them to listen to me."
"Hoe? Fine then. FLY, CREATE, RELEASE!"
"Thank you Sakura-chan!"
"Hoe?"
"Now," Tomoyo closed her eyes and imagined. At once THE CREATE card went to work. They were transported to a little garden with a fountain and a gazebo. Sakura and Syaoran were standing alongside a pool and were dressed in the outfits Tomoyo made them in chapter nine of An Evil is Released. ^_^. Tomoyo was dressed like cupid and had wings and the bow and arrow thing.
"Whoa Tomoyo, you went overboard."
"Now, Syaoran, stay there."
"Okay."
"Sakura, you stand next to Syaoran and put your arms around his neck and turn your head and smile at the camera."
"Hoe? If you say so."
"Syaoran, you put your arms around Sakura’s waist-pull her closer! Closer!
There! Better."
"Tomoyo!"
"Now you smile, or scowl, at the camera."
"Grr."
Tomoyo took a pose that resembled cupid shooting an arrow at two star-crossed lovers (hint, hint) and smiled at the camera.
"There! Now it’s perfect."
"Fine."
"Ready, set, smile!"
*Flash*
"YAY! It’s done!" yelled Tomoyo.
"Can I see?" asked Sakura after they had gone back to normal.
"Sure. It’s a polaroid, here," said Tomoyo.
"Wow."
"It’s nice."
"I can make copies with this!" Tomoyo said, pulling a mini scanner out of her bag.
"Cool."
"Here's one for you, and one for you, and one for me," said Tomoyo.
"Thanks Tomoyo, it’s the best."
"Yeah, it’s great."
"Thank you." ^_^
‘The only picture of me and Syaoran together, and the last,’ thought Sakura.
‘Wow, Sakura is just so beautiful, I’m glad I have a picture of us together, even if it’s the only one that’ll ever be,’ thought Syaoran.
‘Why don’t they just say it and put each other out of their misery!!!!’ thought Tomoyo. *sigh*
"Well, I have to go home and finish packing," said Sakura.
"Well, goodbye," said Syaoran.
"Yeah, goodbye."
Sakura was reluctant to leave, this was the last time she would ever see him. Syaoran. Her true love.
"I’ll miss you!!!" Sakura cried, hugging him. A few stray tears coursed down her cheeks.
"I-I’ll, I’ll miss you too Sakura," Syaoran said, shocked. He slowly
returned the hug.
"I’m sorry," Sakura sniffled. "Well then, this is goodbye Syaoran."
"Yup, I guess so."
"Well, bye then."
"Yeah, bye."
Sakura ran home.
"LI-KUN!" Tomoyo yelled.
"What?!"
"_YOU_ _DID_ _NOT_ _TELL_ _HER_!!!!!!!!!" Tomoyo exploded.
"I-I-I tried to tell her!"
"But you didn’t!"
"I tried!"
"This was the last time you’ll ever see her and you did not tell her!!!!!!!!!"
"*Sigh*"
Syaoran slowly walked home dejectedly. Tomoyo stared at his disappearing figure. She sighed.
‘When will they ever get it through their thick heads that they love each other?’ she wondered.
@ Sakura’s house. . .
Sakura had finished packing and Chibi Yue and Kero were sitting on her bed.
Sakura was staring at the picture Tomoyo had given her. She had also sent over all the costumes. Sakura packed them ALL.
"I’ll be leaving tomorrow," Sakura sighed.
"It’s okay Sakura," said Chibi Yue.
"No more Tomoyo, no more Touya, no more Yuki, no more Tomoeda, no more- *sniffle* no more Syaoran," Sakura began to cry.
"It’s okay Sakura, you’ll make new friends and Touya will come and visit us in California. It’ll be just fine," said Kero, trying to reassure her.
"No! It won’t be the same! Tomoyo and al my other friends won’t be there!
They're special to me! And so is Syaoran! I won’t see him again, ever!!!"
Sakura cried, burying her head in her pillow.
"There, there Sakura, everything will be alright soon, don’t worry," Kero said, stroking her hair.
Sakura ended up crying herself to sleep. Chibi Yue and Kero stayed up half the night making sure she didn’t do anything stupid. She had a big day tomorrow, the first day of the rest of her life.
next day. . .
Sakura was waiting at the airport with Tomoyo.
"I’m gonna miss you soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!" Tomoyo cried into
Sakura’s shoulder.
"I’m gonna miss YOU tooooooooooooooo!" Sakura cried into Tomoyo’s shoulder.
"WAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"
"Sakura!!! We have to board the plane now!" called Fujitaka.
"Coming dad!" Sakura sniffled.
"WAAAAAAH!!!"
Sakura stepped on the plane. This was it! She would never see Tomoyo again after this! Tears began to spill down her cheeks. Sakura quickly wiped them away. She would not cry. She would be strong. She had to be.
She took one last look at Tomoyo, waved, and disappeared.
"MATTE!!! KINOMOTO!!!" yelled a boy, he ran at top speed as Sakura disappeared. "SAKURA!!!"
Sakura had already gone into the plane. ‘Was someone calling me?’ she wondered before taking her seat.
"SAKURA!!!" yelled Syaoran.
"SYAORAN!!!" yelled Tomoyo angrily.
"Did - she - leave - yet? *pant, pant*" he asked.
"YES! She did! And you never told her!!!!" Tomoyo PMSed.
"NOOO!!! Sakura!!!!!" Syaoran ran to the terminal window and tried to look for Sakura. Miraculously, he saw her. She had just sat down. "SAKURA!" he called.
Sakura turned around, it was as if someone had called her. She looked out the window and, lo and behold, there was Syaoran staring straight at her.
He was saying something.
"SAKURA!!! SAKURA!!! AISHITERU SAKURA!!!" Syaoran yelled helplessly.
Then Sakura turned to look at him. She stared at him, confused. It was as if she couldn’t tell what he was saying.
"Ai- what?" Sakura asked herself. ‘what?’ she mouthed to Syaoran.
"A I - S H I - T E - R U - S A - K U - R A !!!!!" Syaoran yelled slowly. (he can read lips better than her.)
‘Ai-oh my gosh! He’s saying ‘aishiteru-’ to me?’ Sakura thought.
Sakura pointed at herself and had a question mark on her head. ‘Me?’ she mouthed.
‘She understood me!!!!’ Syaoran thought. "YES!!!!" he yelled. Tears began to well up in his eyes.
‘He loves me-’ Sakura thought. Her breath caught in her throat. "AI SHITERU SYAORAN!!!" she cried.
‘She loves me too- this is the happiest moment of my life!!!’ thought Syaoran. "I’ll find a way to get to you someday Sakura!!!!" he yelled.
Sakura was getting pretty good at reading lips now. "I’ll wait for you forever Syaoran!!!" Sakura held up her pinky finger.
Syaoran smiled and nodded, holding up his pinky as well. They silently made a pact, carrying on the pinky swear tradition.
Tears coursed down Sakura’s cheeks as the plane’s engines began to roar.
They would lift off soon.
"FOREVER SAKURA!!!!" Syaoran yelled as the plane took off and he broke eye contact with her. He let a few tears fall. "forever. . ."
Tomoyo walked slowly to Syaoran’s side and smiled. They had told each other. It had taken Sakura moving away, but they had told each other.

A young girl walked along the lake side, she was deep in thought. Her beautiful green eyes were brimmed with tears. She looked as if she had had her heart broken. And indeed she had. A long time ago, seven years.
*Flashback*
"A I - S H I - T E - R U - S A - K U - R A !!!!!" Syaoran yelled slowly.

"FOREVER SAKURA!!!!" Syaoran yelled as the plane took off and he broke eye contact with her. He let a few tears fall.
*Flash*
"forever. . ."
*End Flashback*
"Oh Syaoran, how long is forever?"
(Sakura is now a college junior and hasn’t seen any of her japanese friends in 7 years. She’s going back to japan for college but she’s not staying with her brother because they moved to erm, ah, somehwere, erm, erm, idk, aha! france.)
Sakura walked along the road that she once knew so well. Tomoeda. Sakura lifted her head up, she was standing next to the king penguin slide. She climbed to the top of the slide and sat down. She pulled her knees up to her chest and hugged them, silent tears spilled down her rosy cheeks.
"Syaoran."
On the other side of town. . .
"Come on Li-kun! You cannot keep a promise that you cannot keep!" a girl wailed.
"No."
"But you may never find this Sakura person and-"
"Her name is Sakura and I will not be your boyfriend Haneko!" Syaoran shouted angrily.
Haneko stomped away in a huff. It had been like this for a while. Syaoran sighed. Would he ever see Sakura again? Maybe it was stupid to keep the promise.
Syaoran sighed again and took out the key to his apartment. He had been out of touch with the others since she had moved away. Should he give up and just find another girl?
‘No! I will not give up on Sakura! I will find her someday!’ he though, though he doubted himself.
"Sakura, forever."
Next day. . .
Sakura walked to the campus from the apartment she was renting.
‘Maybe I’ll see Tomoyo or Syaoran,’ she thought. ‘Nah, they probably moved or something.’
Just then, a handsome young man ran down the sidewalk.
"I’M LATE I’M LATE I’M LATE!!!" he hollered as he sped down the sidewalk.
He accidentally ran into Sakura.
"Oh, I’m sorry," he exclaimed hurriedly, helping Sakura gather her things, before taking off again.
"Oh my gosh! Was that?" Sakura wondered.
"SAKURA-CHAN!!!" Sakura heard a voice calling her.
"Hoe?" Sakura turned around forgetting about the young man.
"SAKURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" yelled a young woman with violet eyes and waist-length ebony hair.
"T-Tomoyo?" Sakura squeaked.
"SAKURA!" Tomoyo hugged her best friend.
"Tomoyo! I missed you soooo much!" Sakura exclaimed.
"I missed you tooooo!!!" Tomoyo squealed.
Tomoyo and Sakura walked to school together (yes, they attend the same college, and I took the liberty of placing them in the same first period class as well as a few others. . . . . .well, all of them actually. ^^;)
Tomoyo told Sakura what had been happening in Tomoeda while Sakura told
Tomoyo about her life in America.
". . . . . . and I ran into a boy this morning, he looked kinda like Li-kun, it was right before I saw you-"
"NANI?! You saw Li-kun!!!!" Tomoyo squealed.
"Erm, that was him?" Sakura asked, puzzled.
"Probably!"
"Honto?!"
"Honto."
"WAIIIIII!!! I missed saying hi to him!"
"Well, he does live in the area, but he doesn’t go to the same college."
Sakura face faulted. "HOEEEE???? I bet he has a girlfriend and has forgotten all about me!!!" Sakura cried.
"Erm, well, I don’t know. I fell out of touch with him when you moved away," Tomoyo explained apologetically.
"WAIII!!!" Sakura cried some more.
At school Sakura met up with all her old childhood friends. (Yes, none of them moved away. . . . . . .^-^; corny, I know, but hey! This is my fic so nyah nyah! :p ^-^)
"Sakura-chan! Let’s have a big welcome back party at my house!!!" Tomoyo screamed.
"Yeah!"
"Perfect idea Tomoyo!"
"Great!"
These were some of the answers to Tomoyo brilliant suggestion. (which we all know was really the wonderful author’s idea because she’s writing this fic! ^-^)
"Well Sakura?" asked Tomoyo expectantly.
"That sounds like a great idea!" Sakura exclaimed.
"Then it’s settled!" Tomoyo shouted.
"Can we invite Syao-kun?" Sakura asked.
"Erm, well, we-" Chiharu began.
"We don’t know his address or anything Sakura. When he moved away to the other part of town we lost touch, and he’s not in the phonebook either,"
Tomoyo sighed.
"Hoe?" Sakura was devastated.
"It’ll be fun though, even if Syao-kun isn’t there!" Tomoyo said.
"Yah, I guess," Sakura didn’t sound so sure.
"Come on! We have to make the guest list!!!" Tomoyo hollered.
"Coming!" Sakura said, ‘Syaoran...’
At Tomoyo’s house the next day...
"We’ll have to get you a dress and write invitations and get decorations and have a band and food and ..." Tomoyo babbled on and on.
"Whoah Tomoyo! We shouldn’t have too much stuff," Sakura warned.
"Don’t worry, it’s okay!" Tomoyo said cheerfully.
"Tomoyo!" Sakura exclaimed.
"What?"
Sakura had just caught sight of the guest list, it had on it every single person they had ever know from kindergarten to eighth grade.
"You can’t invite that many people!!!" Sakura yelled.
"Kisama! And why not?"
"Because, that’s too many people!" Sakura sighed.
"Oh, I guess you have a point..." Tomoyo looked at the guest list.
"Okay, I’ll shorten it to the people we were friends with when you moved away, happy?" Tomoyo asked.
"Erm, yes, I guess so," Sakura sighed.
"Okay!" Tomoyo smiled.
"Tomoyo!" Sakura exclaimed again a few minutes later.
"What?"
This time Sakura had seen the catering list. It went on like this for about three hours. (wow, kinda long ne?)
After they had finished getting all the list done (and approved by Sakura)
Tomoyo decided to take Sakura dress shopping.
"But Tomoyo!" Sakura yelled.
"Yes?"
"I don’t need a new dress!"
"Of course you do! It’s your big debut in Tomoeda and I’ll be damned if you didn’t have an absolutely exquisite dress!" Tomoyo exclaimed.
"Tomoyo!"
at the nearest mall...
"Tomoyo! I am not getting a new dress!"
"Yes you are!" Tomoyo exclaimed, pulling her into the nearest dress store.
"But Tomoyo!!!"
across town...
"Shimmata! I should have taken less courses this year," Syaoran sighed.
"That girl I saw on my way to school...she looked really familiar..."
Syaoran continued to stare into space.
‘I wonder if it was. . .nah, it couldn’t be. She moved away a long time ago. Get it together Syaoran! Or else you’re gonna fail all your classes.’
Syaoran opened his Calculus book and proceeded to do the problems, all 56 of them, that the teacher had assigned for homework.
"Kuso! Doesn’t she think we have lives or anything?! *sigh*"
‘Sakura.’
back at the mall...
"Tomoyo, can we go now! There is no more dresses we can try on!" Sakura whined.
"NO!...AHA!" Tomoyo was very enthusiastic. ^^;
"What?"
"This will be the perfect dress for you!!!" Tomoyo exclaimed suddenly.
"Nani?" Sakura walked over to where Tomoyo was standing.
"NANI?! That is such an expensive looking dress Tomoyo-chan!" Sakura cried.
"I don’t have that kind of money Tomoyo!"
"Who ever said anything about YOU paying for it?" asked a bewildered
Tomoyo. "I’m paying."
"No Tomoyo! This is where I put my foot down!" Sakura stomped her foot down...right into a pile of shopping bags.
"WHOAH!"
"Ahhh, Sakura-chan, daijobu desu ka?" Tomoyo asked.
"Erm, yah," Sakura stood up blushing.
"Well, I told the clerk to put the dress on my tab so come on! We have to mail invitations!"
"TOMOYO!!!"
At the party...
Sakura was dressed in a beautiful pink gown that hugged her body and pooled at her feet. It was a spaghetti strap dress with a modest neckline and shimmered in the simple lighting. She also wore shimmery pink sandals and long elbow-length pale pink gloves. Her make-up was simple: pale ice pink eye shadow, shimmery pink lip gloss.
"Sakura! You look wonderful!" Tomoyo exclaimed as she walked in. Tomoyo wore a full length dress, it was dark blue and was sleeveless. Silver stars were scattered all over the dress. She also had some clear shiny lip-gloss.
"You look nice too Tomoyo," Sakura said absentmindedly.
Tomoyo could tell she was depressed but decided Sakura might not want to talk about it and ignored it.
Soon people started to arrive. There were food, dancing, and catching up on the past. Tomoyo had contacted a lot of the friends that Sakura had not seen in a long time. In fact, the only one that didn't seem to be there was Syaoran.
Sakura wandered away from the party and went to sit outside in Tomoyo’s garden.
"Shimashita ka Sakura?" Tomoyo asked, following her.
"Yeah, I was just thinking..." Sakura trailed off.
"About what?" Tomoyo asked.
"Nani mo...really, nothing," Sakura sighed.
"Gomen for bothering you Sakura," Tomoyo got up and walked away.
"Ja Tomoyo-chan," Sakura called to the retreating figure.
"Ja!" Tomoyo called over her shoulder.
‘Chikuso!’ Sakura cursed inwardly. ‘Why did I have to leave? Why did he have to leave? Why couldn’t we stay together? He probably has someone now, he was so handsome then...’
Sakura’s thought began to fade away as the hours past. Soon it was past midnight. Sakura sighed and got up. Everyone would be leaving soon. She supposed she should say goodbye.
Sakura got up and said goodbye to her guests. Since she was sleeping over at Tomoyo’s she decided to spend a little more time in the garden.
"I’m going out to the garden Tomoyo! Don’t wait up for me!" Sakura told her friend.
"Okay, I’m going to bed!"
"Oyasumi nasai Tomoyo!"
"Oyasumi nasai Sakura!"
Sakura walked out to the fountain in the middle of the garden. She sat down on the cold stone structure.
‘Syaoran. . .’
"Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight . . ." Sakura whispered. "I wish I may I wish I might. . ." She took a deep breath. "Have the wish I wish tonight. . ." and exhaled slowly.
‘Please let me find Syaoran one day, no matter how long it takes, let me find him again! I-I told him I would wait forever, and so I will.’
Sakura bent her head and let the tears fall. Silently, one by one, they slid down her cheek, shining in the moonlight, they gave her an ethereal look.
Across town...
Syaoran looked out his window.
"Star light, Star bright, first star I see tonight. . .I wish I may, I wish
I might, Have the wish I wish tonight," he whispered softly.
‘Let me find her soon, I’ve looked everywhere, I must find her.’
Suddenly, Syaoran felt a strong urge to go and take a walk. Sighing, he left his books on the bedside table and went to go put on something warmer.
He emerged from his closet wearing a long-sleeved green turtleneck with black slacks and a black coat draped over his arm.
As he stepped outside, he shivered. It was cold. He put the coat on and began walking aimlessly about the neighborhood. Various thoughts ran through his mind. Most about Sakura.
‘Where is she? Why am I asking myself this? That girl I saw... it looked so much like her. Maybe I was just hallucinating. I’m gonna go crazy if I don’t find her soon...’ Syaoran’s head was a jumble of thoughts.
Before long, Syaoran found himself in the Tomoeda district.
"Of all the places to wind up," he said, "I had to end up here."
He continued walking.
At Tomoyo’s garden...
Sakura sat on the side of the stone fountain in the middle of the garden and trailed the tips of her gloved fingers in the water. She sighed, she had been doing that a lot lately.
Suddenly, she got up and walked over to the entrance of the house. she stared at the moon. ‘Yue.’ The thought popped up instantaneously in her mind. Sakura chuckled to herself. Yue and Kero were back at her house.
Sakura silently recalled the memories of all the card captures they had done in the old days.
"I wish it were STILL the old days now," Sakura sighed.
She continued staring at the moon for quite a while.
A...where Syaoran is...
Syaoran had continued walking around Tomoeda aimlessly when he found himself in Tomoyo’s neighborhood. He decided to see if Tomoyo was still around.
Syaoran began to walk to the mansion when he stopped in his tracks.
"Sakura."
A single word, he whispered it in the dark. She stood at the gate, staring at the night sky. Her cheeks shone with what appeared to be tears.
‘Why could she have been crying?’ He wondered.
"Sakura."
This time a little louder, she looked around, her eyes finally resting on him.
"Syaoran."
Barely audible in the night, she whispered his name.
"Syaoran."
Louder. Was it really him? Could it really be?
"Sakura!"
Syaoran yelled joyously as he ran toward the figure.
"Syaoran!"
Sakura smiled and threw open the gates to the garden to rush into Syaoran’s arms.
"Is it really you, or am I just dreaming?" Syaoran asked softly, caressing her cheek.
"Well, if it’s really you then it’s really me," Sakura whispered, not daring to move from his embrace, fearing that if she did he would disappear.
"Sakura, I missed you so much," said Syoaran, releasing her from their hug so he could see her better.
"I-I missed you too, Syaoran."
Syaoran slowly kissed away all the teardrops that remained on her face.
Sakura smiled and hugged him close.
Once Sakura was tear-free, Syaoran looked at her again, as if the thought that she was really there was too hard to believe.
"You’re real," Sakura whispered.
Syaoran was surprised because that was exactly what he had just been thinking.
"Remember the day you left?" Syaoran asked.
"Yes," Sakura whispered.
"I meant what I said."
"So did I."
"I still do, you know."
"Really?" Sakura gazed up at him, her eyes shone with new tears, tears of happiness.
"Yes, always and forever."
"I-I meant what I said to," Sakura whispered.
"I love you."
"Even after seven years?" Sakura was very close to tears.
"Even after forever."
"I love you too," Sakura smiled.
"For forever?" Syaoran whispered.
"For forever."
Their lips where scant inches apart and Sakura wanted desperately for Syaoran to breach the gap.
‘Aishiteru,’ Syaoran mouthed.
"Aishiteru," Sakura whispered back as Syaoran finally closed the rift between them.
It began to drizzle, giving the kiss a more romantic look. Two souls, fated to be together. They stood in the rain, glowing with radiance and love. Their heartbeats matched and the kiss consumed them. It was their whole world for a few short moments.
When Syaoran finally broke the kiss (I mean they gotta breathe people!)
Sakura’s eyes were still closed, it was as if she was saving the memory forever, in case it never happened again.
As if Syaoran know that, He moved to kiss her again.
"KAWAIIIIII!!!" Syaoran heard a small shout.
The new couple whirled around.
"TOMOYO!" >_<;
"That was soooooooo intensely KAWAII!!!"
"T-"
"I got the whole thing on tape!" ^^
"But T-"
"And we can show it at your wedding!"
"Wedding?-"
"WEDDING! I have to start planning it!"
"But I haven’t even pro-"
"Then do so very soon!"
"Bu-"
"This will be sooooooooooo fun!"
Tomoyo sauntered off to start planning the nonexistent-but-will-probably-be-existent-very-soon wedding.
Syaoran pulled Sakura into the kiss he had wanted to give her earlier.
When they pulled apart, Sakura whispered, " She has never changed."
They burst out laughing as the couple walked, hand in hand, back to Tomoyo’s mansion.
(To all the really dense people, this is kinda like the epilogue.)
Of course Syaoran went jewelry shopping soon after that and Sakura went dress shopping and Tomoyo went everything shopping and pulled out all the stops and gave them the most killer wedding of the century. ^^ (like Tomoyo would do anything less?)
