-New amazing contest entries and judges
-New host for webbie (prohosting free) and a new layout made with a favorite picture of mine that i'd been longing to make a layout with ^^.It's soft, pastelly, organized, clean and sparkly *^-^*! Its also got a matching link button and avatar. I wouldn't have changed the layout but I discovered almost by accident that prohosting allows SSI (<3 SSI) , also Kira, Halo and S-chan gave lovely encouragments about trying webdesign and feeling ok about it. So I really enjoyed making this layout....Its very simple though, nothing too complex ^^;;.
Anyways *coughcoughs and stops blabbing*
-Also sent out the contest reminder email to my mailing list so hopefully we should have some more entries by the end of the week...I think I'll set the closing date to the eighth or something...

I'm suddenly scared.It's that point of the year when I feel this site is almost complete (this has happened before). It's maybe not rational, it's maybe not founded but I get a vivid sense of panic everynow and then.Like the inevitable end of an epoque.Its been a wonderful time and I have met so many new friends but many are moving on now and i'm afraid they may not want to keep up because we have new interest groups now... I confess i've never been a real otaku, I've only seen a few anime and chose CCS to make a site because I loved the artwork, it's been a great basis to create on; from wallpapers to layouts, pixels to games...it's the imagery that I love. I feel slightly alien among 'real' anime fans and this sensation grows as more CCSakura sites close down... When I eventually 'move on', it will probably be towards graphics creation and tutorials. I shouldnt be afraid of change but the fact is: friends move off to uni, get jobs, get fiancéd, get a life and I must remain ... because the internet is now my main means of communication, my window to the world.I didn't choose this lifestyle, i love to travel and be out and about,you see life chose it for me.Thank God that the web exists or I would surely spend my time typing letters to old friends ^_^ and would never maybe have met so many new lovely people from all over the world.
I guess these changes are a new challenge and a opportunity to try out new talents.Just want to let you know that wherever or whatever you move on to, I would love to keep up contact. Don't worry if you don't want to talk about webdesign or CCSakura or anime, I want to hear from you to talk about what You're doing and how You are feeling!
Now I realise that what I love about CCSakura are the characters, the ones I've met along the way: YOU.

I installed fusionPHP at tripod so I'll be moving the blog there soon, it was amazingly simple; whats gonna be less simple is stripping all my archives (2 years=76 long complex html pages) and setting them up with a simpler layout. I'll be doing that tomorrow
How do you like the new layout? I suddenly couldnt bear the other one any longer...it was a bit too orangey for my taste and the Sakura image was too blurry.This one is designed to be colourful and cheery and hopefully classy enough to keep for a little while ^^;;;.I'm trying to think up a snazzy name for it...any ideas? something like cheery chibi or genki girls ^_^.

I miss Nucleus, my blog script; manually blogging is two times the work *sigh* I tried to install it at tripod but they disable that kind of script for some reason *thank god they allow the oekaki* Oh well, i'll be looking out for a free php/mysql host to install my blog...i will NOT be going back to blogger or diaryland though (too much hassle).Hmmm maybe I could get hosted...Anyone wanna host my blog and two years archives (5Mo maximum)? ^___^

I love having spare time to use on creativity ^^, the past months have been too busy: fixing things, moving when hosts crashed, finishing off essentials ... but now I can enjoy myself more and make graphics *wubs pixels and PSP*. (EDIT: yeah right! five minutes having written that: all my image hosts crashed..wondeful *grrrr*)

I discovered a FABULOUS tutorial yesterday (follow the review 9 link) that shows how to make includes in PHP, ASP, SSI and even javascript...that means you can move ANYWHERE and still have a dynamic layout ^____^ ...

1-Rename your .PHP or SSI .txt files to be included into ".JS"
2-Add document.write(' to the start
3-Remove any line breaks in the text file
4-Add '); to the end of the file
5-Replace your include code on each page with: *script language="JavaScript" src="FILE.js" type='text/javascript"* (replace * with tags)

-Went through the Information and Sitey sections, checking for typos, grammer mistakes and bad text layout
-Bravenet has changed many of their services: the guestbooks are basically the same but the counters are big ugly adverts now and mess up a layout...i have changed quite a few of mine to my webstats account (losing approx 15000 hits) oh well! Numbers don't matter to me much anymore but having a nice tidy site does so off with lots of ugly counters!!!! grrrrrr@marketing on the net..so many free services are now plagued with ads *bleurgh*
-Switched the visitor counter (not hit counter) on the home page to a hostedscripts.com text counter <3<3<3
-Made this buddy icon for this contest

Watched My Neighbour Totoro yesterday and loved it to bits ^_^ its so pretty and cute...the graphics are stunning!!!

Personal:
Bathed Tommy the dog this morning then shaved him *he is the softest fluffiest thing you ever touched - waiii*. Joanna is in the Uk with Dad visiting schools. Mom and I are at home enjoying the sunshine, tidying the house, resting our colds, eating rasberries, sometimes watching silly films (so far we've seen Galaxy quest and Knights tale) and ER in the evenings ^_^. Suppi the mouse has learnt to hang from the bars on the roof of her cage hanging from her back legs...mice will always amaze me...and this one is bored! Venise the Dog is sunbathing, having nervous fit's when ever she hears thunder and being her usual diva self. It feels so peaceful and quiet at home without Dad & Jo...*miss them* but it's like a mini holiday ^_^.

Post in the comments if you would like me to post one chapter a day of Harry Potter 5: OotP (in TXT format - extracted by me from the kazaa circulating PDF file) I will remove the previous chapter each day so as not to give everything away (the feature will span 38 days)
You can purchase the Hardback book online from amazon.com (ships anywhere) or Tesco.com (half price-UK only) The audio book is hard to find to purchase, let alone to download (maybe on IRC or BT but Kazaa only has portions) I'm hoping I can buy/download the audio book somehow as i've got seasick reading recently (don't ask - www.cfids.org - my life is wierd)
Also downloading the Simarillion audio book from kazaa because I have it but can't read it...I've heard it explains a lot more about Gandalf and his kind (the Istari) not that i'm a rabid LOTR fangirl ^^; just curious ^^;;;
Random Fact: Did you know that?... the Balrog is of the same race as Gandalf, the Maiar.
